Building a form
A form's questions are built from blocks, in the builder. Open a form and click Questions; the builder opens full screen, and saves your draft as you go.
The builder
- In the middle, the form's blocks, page by page. Click a block to change it.
- On the left, the settings of the block you clicked.
- On the right, the form's pages, with Add page, and its Form end: what customers see once they've finished.
- At the top, Export, Preview, Discard draft and Publish, and when it was last saved.
Adding questions
Click + Add new block, or add one to a page, then choose what kind:
- Words and layout
- Large, medium and small headers, Text, an Image, an Icon, a Spacer, and an Information Modal for more detail customers can open.
- Answers to type
- Input box: a single line, several lines, an essay, an email address, a phone number, or numbers only.
- Choices
- Multiple choice, allowing one answer or several, a Scale and a Matrix.
- About the customer
- Date of birth, Country, Height Input, Weight Input and Measurement.
- Files and consent
- File upload and Signature.
- Product
- Lets them choose a product.
A block's menu adds another above, below or beside it, and can delete it. In its settings, Required makes it a must, and Error text says what to tell customers when they miss it.
Questions that depend on answers
Choose Add conditional logic in a block's menu to show it only when an earlier answer fits, like asking about side effects only to people who say they take another medicine. Apply conditions to all blocks on this page does it for a whole page.
Add page break starts a new page after a block. Page options sets a page's buttons, like what Continue and Back say.
Preview and publish
Your changes are a draft until you publish them: customers keep seeing the live form. Discard draft shows how many changes you've made, and throws them away, back to what's live, after asking.
Preview
Fill it in as a customer would. Ignore logic shows every question at once.
Publish
Click Publish to make your changes live. On a draft form, use Go live on the form's page instead, which checks the whole form first.
Export saves the form as JSON, to keep or move, or as a PDF.
